Doctor Laura Gets Some Action

Dr Laura, yes THAT Doctor of Physiology Laura, moved to our town not too long ago. I guess after her infamous failure to notice that her mother, who lived nearby, had died, the radio personality of the Bush persuasion thought it would be easier to hobnob in Oprah’s backyard. I doubt she finds many friends in liberal Santa Barbara since she won’t be in the next Planned Parenthood fund-raiser or gay pride parade. Even though her husband divorced the outspoken marriage and family therapist a few years back, we hear she’s getting some action. laura_s

wndy The local newspaper has been hijacked by another emigre - Wendy McCaw, divorce’ billionaire, protector of rats and pigs, and paramour to the local restaurant critic, Nipper. It’s a long story - see links below. Anyway Ms McCaw gave Ms Schlesinger a column in the paper, causing even more subscriber cancellations, and terrifying munchkins all across the city. Since all the professional reporters and editors quit or were fired at the News-Press - I said it was a long story - there were plenty of empty desks and column inches to fill.
Today we discover in a local blog that Laura, presumably inspired by her own audacious move a few miles up the coast, has created her very own action figure. Talking action figure of course. Buy it for yourself.

Additional Sayings from Dr. Laura:

* “…proud mother of an American Soldier.”
* “Now, go do the right thing.”
* “Don’t argue with me! It makes me testy.”
* “Be the kind of person you’d like to come home to everyday.”
* I am my kid’s mom.”

You can also hear the famous homilies:

"Don’t Bring Home An Elephant…"

"Please…Don’t Argue with Me…"

"Remember…Whoever Has The Responsibility…"

"What Magic Do You Think…"

"Are You Sure This Is The Hill…"

"I Can’t Believe You’re Asking This Question…"

Jawfish was unable to find a bobblehead Dr. Laura, but we did find Jesus here.
